Amanda Holden set for huge career change to front X-rated show about sex

Britain's Got Talent judge Amanda Holden is set to switch the judging chair for documentary hosting, in a move that will see her front a new X-rated docu-series on Sky.

Amanda, 51, will present a programme will documenting the history of sex, and has been described as "Horrible Histories for grown-ups."

The TV star recently hinted at the upcoming series on Instagram, sharing a snap of herself dressed as Cleopatra, and another showing her as the iconic film star Marilyn Monroe.

The I Can See Your Voice panellist missed this year's National Television Awards, which she said clashed with the filming of a "slightly controversial" series for Sky.

At the time Amanda told the MailOnline: "I've just started filming a brand new series for Sky, which is going to be a lot of fun and it maybe slightly controversial."

Now, a source has told The Sun: "The documentary is packed with facts, information and educational moments but of course Amanda brings her own style to it.

"We’re calling it Horrible Histories but for grown-ups."

The insider continued: “This generation thinks it’s at the forefront of sexual exploration but we really know nothing compared to the Romans or even the Regency period.

They added that she was quite hands on with filming the show, and dressed up as a number of different historical figures for re-enactments of scenes.

Amanda recently glammed up again as she attended the British Fashion Awards 2022, bringing her daughter Lexi along for the occasion.

Walking the red carpet the mother-daughter duo looked more like sisters, with the TV star opting for a low cut Bardot-style PVC dress in vivid red with thin straps, with matching painted nails to boot.

Lexi, who is set to embark on a modelling career after signing to agency Storm Management, looked incredibly chic in a sheer black gown, with a structured bodice and high cut lace skirt.

She paired this with several necklaces and gold jewellery as she stood hand in hand with her famous mum, as the pair posed up a storm.

Ahead of this Amanda had delighted her fans with an insight into her festive weekend with gal pals including Tamzin Outhwaite, Sarah Parish and Tracy-Ann Oberman.

The actresses' get together is an annual tradition, with Amanda posting a sweet snap of the group celebrating as she penned the caption: "Us. So many years together.. #christmas weekend."
